Q: What is an STS transfer?

A: A ship‑to‑ship (STS) transfer is the movement of cargo between two vessels alongside each other. It can take place offshore or at designated anchorages and is used for crude, CPP/DPP, LNG/LPG and other cargoes.

Q: Why are pneumatic fenders important?

A: They absorb berthing energy and maintain separation between hulls, reducing the risk of damage during approach and alongside operations.

Q: What type of fenders do you use?

A: We maintain a range from approximately 0.5 m to 4.5 m diameters with chain‑and‑tire nets. We recommend sizes based on vessel particulars, cargo and conditions.

Q: Do you provide Mooring Masters/POACs?

A: Yes. Experienced Master Mariners lead operations, supported by trained crews and, for gas jobs, LNG Superintendents.

Q: How quickly can you respond?

A: At Malaysia OPL and Singapore EOPL, mobilization is typically within 60 minutes subject to availability and conditions. Contact our hotline for urgent needs.

Q: What cargoes do you handle?

A: Crude oil, clean and dirty petroleum products, LNG/LPG and selected chemicals. If you have a specialty cargo, we will advise on feasibility.

Q: What documentation do you provide?

A: Fender certificates and pressure logs, crew qualifications, checklists and a post‑job report with time stamps and photos.

Q: What if the weather changes mid‑operation?

A: We monitor the window continuously. If thresholds are exceeded or a risk emerges, the team will pause or stand down until conditions improve.

Q: Can I rent or purchase fenders?

A: Yes. Most clients rent with rigging and supervision. Purchase options are available on request.
